Beverley Leisure Centre

The verdict: The best all-round family pool in the East Riding. The main pool has a wave machine and small flume, while the learner pool is perfect for toddlers. Woodford Leisure Centre, Hull

East Riding Leisure Centre, Driffield

Bridlington Leisure World

Splash Parks and Splash Pads

East Park Splash Pad, Hull

The verdict: Hull's best free splash pad, open from May to September. Various water jets and fountains, perfect for toddlers and younger children. Bring towels and a change of clothes! Cost: Free | Season: May-September

Sewerby Hall Splash Pad

The verdict: A lovely splash pad in the grounds of Sewerby Hall, combined with the playground and gardens. Worth the small entry fee to the grounds. Cost: Included with Sewerby Hall entry | Season: May-September

Top Tips

  2. Arrive early at splash pads — they get packed on sunny days
  3. Book inflatable sessions in advance — they sell out quickly
