Sex Offender McCaulay Parker Jailed for Four-and-a-Half Years at Hull Crown Court
A man who gained entry to the homes of vulnerable women by posing as a tradesman has been jailed for four-and-a-half years at Hull Crown Court after being found guilty of sexual assault.
McCaulay Parker was sentenced on Friday 20 March following a four-day trial in December 2025 at which a jury convicted him of sexually assaulting two women in their homes in Hull and Skipton. He had pleaded not guilty to all charges but was found guilty on all counts.
In addition to the custodial sentence, Parker was handed a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life. He will serve three years of extended licence upon his release from prison.
Preying on the vulnerable
The court heard how Parker had knocked on the doors of his victims under the pretence of offering his services as a tradesman or salesman. Once inside, he took advantage of the women's trust and vulnerability to commit the assaults.
Judge Rachel Harrison, passing sentence, described Parker's offending as "calculating and predatory."
"You deliberately targeted women who you perceived to be vulnerable," Judge Harrison told Parker. "You used a carefully constructed ruse to gain entry to their homes — places where they should have felt safest — and then you subjected them to appalling acts. The impact on your victims has been profound and lasting."
Victims praised for courage
The victims, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were praised by the judge and by investigating officers for their courage in coming forward and supporting the prosecution through to trial.
Detective Constable Sarah Jennings, who led the investigation, said: "The bravery of these two women in reporting what happened to them and then giving evidence in court cannot be overstated. Parker is a dangerous individual who deliberately targeted vulnerable people, and thanks to the courage of his victims, he is now behind bars where he cannot harm anyone else."
Humberside Police urged anyone who has been the victim of sexual assault to come forward, regardless of when the offence took place. "We will listen, we will investigate, and we will pursue justice," DC Jennings added.
Protecting the community
The lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order places significant restrictions on Parker's behaviour and movements upon his eventual release, including limitations on his ability to contact victims and restrictions on unsupervised contact with vulnerable adults. Any breach of the order would constitute a criminal offence carrying a potential prison sentence of up to five years.
The three years of extended licence mean that Parker will be subject to strict supervision and monitoring by the Probation Service for three years after his release from custody, with the power to recall him to prison if he breaches his licence conditions.
Support available
Anyone who has experienced sexual violence or abuse can contact Humberside Police on 101, or in an emergency on 999. The Blue Door, Hull's sexual assault referral centre, provides free and confidential support to victims of sexual violence and can be reached on 0800 197 47 87.
The National Sexual Assault Helpline, run by Rape Crisis, is available on 0808 500 2222, and the NSPCC helpline for concerns about children is available on 0808 800 5000.
Parker's sentencing sends a clear message that those who prey on vulnerable members of the community will face the full force of the law. For his victims, the conclusion of this case marks an important step in their recovery — though the scars left by his actions will take far longer to heal.
