The vibrant farmers market is making a comeback to Hull city centre, with the first event kicking off on Friday, April 10. Trinity Square will come alive with various stalls showcasing locally produced goods from small independent businesses. This month’s market will also feature family-friendly entertainment and complimentary Easter eggs, making it a perfect outing for families.

Coffee Mornings at Ings Ward

Residents of Ings Ward are invited to join the Neighbourhood Coordinator at Ings Library for a series of coffee mornings. These informal gatherings, held on Savoy Road, provide a platform for community members to discuss local issues and connect with special guest representatives from various services. Upcoming sessions will feature Hull CC Waste Management on April 29, Hull Fostering on May 27, and more, culminating in a session with the Hull and East Riding Citizens Advice Bureau on September 30.

New Cultural Hub for Middle Child Theatre

Thanks to Hull City Council’s City Centre Grant scheme, Middle Child Theatre is set to enhance its Humber Street premises. The funding will help create a new cultural, community, and commercial hub featuring upgraded facilities, including a customized seating bank and improved heating and air conditioning systems. This initiative is expected to enrich Hull's cultural landscape and support local arts.

Free Child Car Seat Safety Events

In an effort to improve child safety, Hull City Council has partnered with Safer Roads Humber and other organizations to conduct a series of free child car seat safety events throughout the year. Starting this month, families can attend any of the eight scheduled events across Hull, where experts will provide checks and advice on proper car seat installation. These initiatives aim to ensure that every child’s car seat is correctly fitted and safe for use.
