What is a food and wine extravaganza you may well ask? Well it's an evening where you can sample a wide range of food and wine presented by the people who make it or their representatives. All of these people are passionate advocates of their products and have a fascinating amount of information to pass on. Our shop Flourish & Prosper offers a massive array of goods despite being relatively small. One of our aims with the Extravaganza is to take advantage of the larger space the Shire Hall offers so our customers can see clearly all that we offer. As well as food and drink suppliers we will have a display of Schott Zweisel glassware including some fabulous mouth blown glasses and decanters. One of the highlights of the night will be a table hosted by Alan Long of Hunters & Frankau who will display a range of fine Havana cigars. Alan is hoping to bring along an expert from Cuba who will demonstrate how to hand roll cigars. We may have to ask for dusky female volunteers to offer their thighs for the cigars to be rolled on! For cheese lovers there will be a fabulous selection on offer from Anthony Rowcliffe one of the country's most respected cheese wholesalers. Sally from the White Rabbit Chocolate company will be there with some of her delicious creations. Oh and if you need a little caffeine pick me up Grumpy Mule from Huddersfield will be there with some of their organic coffees. The evening will start at 6pm and finish promptly at 9pm.
